Regular cab Tundra Base model is the only model with RKE optional. Hood Switch Kit, 08586-0C920 is required for installation on all models without factory alarm hood switch. Tundra Limited models already have factory hood switch.. The VIP Remote Engine Starter allows vehicle owners to start the engine before entering the vehicle—as well as to activate the air conditioner- heater- defroster and defogger functions—so owners can have their vehicle ready and waiting with a comfortable interior temperature. And because its fully integrated into the vehicles existing factory security/keyless entry system- theres no need for an additional remote. Remote engine start allows you to start your car from up to 80 feet away. Preset your radio- A/C or heater controls so your car will be ready whe you are. The remote start has been integrated into the original key fob for added convenience.
